The Actual ODBC Driver for Oracle lets you use Microsoft Excel and FileMaker Pro to import data from your company's Oracle database. The driver offers unprecedented ease of use and compatibility

Use Excel and FileMaker Pro to Connect to Your Database
With Microsoft Excel's built-in support for ODBC database queries, you can quickly create pivot tables and charts and graphs from data in your company's database. You can also use FileMaker 6 or 7 to create great looking reports from your Oracle data.

With Microsoft Excel's built-in support for ODBC database queries, you can quickly create pivot tables and charts and graphs from data in your company's database.

You can also use FileMaker 6 or later (including FileMaker 9) to create great looking reports from your Oracle data. Experienced FileMaker users can write simple scripts for writing data back to the Oracle database.

Note: to use FileMaker on an Intel Mac, you will need FileMaker 8.5 or later. To use Excel on an Intel Mac, you will need Excel 2008.

Requirements:

  • Oracle TNS Listener must be installed and running on the server (this is the default in most cases).
