What's New in This Release:

  • InstallerMaker runs natively under Mac OS X™
  • It requires Mac OS 10.2.6 or higher and as of build 25 is Tiger compatible.
  • Integrated Administrator Authentication Option
  • in the "Build" dialog can require users running an installer to enter a valid Admin password.
  • File permissions can now be set in
  • InstallerMaker's GetInfo dialog.
  • Results of "Find" tasks can now be reused by subsequent tasks
  • for improved performance particularly when installing an update.
  • It is now possible to "Find" a partial path such as "ApplicationName/Plug-ins"
  • saving time and reducing false hits.
  • Bundle/Packages now recognized and handled differently than
  • folders. Packages can easily overwrite earlier versions rather than merge the contents.
  • Many new Mac OS X prefab "Locations" have been added and reorganized
  • to help speed installer development.
  • InstallerMaker can now launch shell scripts
  • for those times a command line is worth a thousand words.
