Cineon DPX QuickTime Component 2.5.10

Cineon DPX QuickTime Component - For Cineon DPX digital images
This is a demo of a set of QuickTime components that can load and save Cineon or DPX images.

In the commercial version, you can load and save Cineon or DPX images from QuickTime, or any QuickTime enabled applications. Controls are provided to adjust black/white points, display gamma and conversion gamma. Cineon DPX QuickTime Component also supports raw image loading and saving, for those people that wish to use their own LUTs or LOG/LIN tools.

Note: You will need QuickTime Pro in order to load or save a range of Cineon/DPX Images.

Main features of Cineon DPX QuickTime Component:

  • Control over white and black points as well as gamma.
  • Separate controls for import and export settings.
  • View Cineon image sequences with QuickTime player.
  • Convert Cineon/DPX images into any of QuickTime's supported image or movie formats.
  • Works with any QuickTime enabled application. You can import or export Cineon or DPX images directly with Apple's Final Cut Pro HD, for instance.

Requirements of Cineon DPX QuickTime Component:

    Minimum Hardware and Software Configuration:
  • PowerPC G4
  • QuickTime 7.1 (or later)
  • 1280 x 1024 display

    Recommeded Hardware and Software Configuration:
  • PowerPC G4, G5 or Intel Macintosh Systems
  • QuickTime 7.1 (or later)
  • 1920 x 1200 display
  • A High Speed SATA2, SCSI or Fibrechannel storage array

    Playback Requirements:
Cineon/DPX Images are very much uncompressed. As a Cineon file is roughly 12.5 Megs in size, and High-Def 1080p DPX images are typically 8.5 Megs, you will want to make sure that you have at least 1 Gig of RAM and a fast locally attached storage array.

Limitations of Cineon DPX QuickTime Component:

  • If no license is purchased, the Cineon and DPX images are drawn and exported with a colored watermark through the center of the image.
  • Final Cut Pro Panel is in demo mode, but much of it is disabled.
  • Timecode and Spotlight Plugin support is also disabled.

    What's New in This Release:

  • This version fixes many problems that occured in v2.5.7 - 2.5.8a.
  • New for v2.5.9 is the ability to directly export from AJA's Kona3 10-bit RGB/LOG codecs.
  • Also, DPX video pixel chromaticites are now supported.
