Open source type designer (font editor) that builds TrueType font files
DoubleType is an open source type designer (font editor) that builds TrueType font file. Being written in Java, DoubleType runs on platforms supported by Java, including Macintosh, Windows, and Linux.

Glyphs are stored in XML based file to aid collaboration using existing tools such as CVS. DoubleType allows efficient glyph design by combining existing glyphs and modules.

What's New in This Release:

This release fixes bug that causes font to be monospaced incorrectly. This release also includes a sample typeface.
