Flip4Mac MXF Import Component provides Final Cut Pro 5 users an all-digital, file-based media workflow
MXF Component highlights: The Flip4Mac MXF Import Component provides direct ingest of MXF content from the Sony XDCAM Camcorder, PDW-1500 Compact Deck and eVTR IMX MPEG video tape recorder – into the Apple Final Cut Pro 5 editing application.

The Flip4Mac MXF Import Component supports either DV or MPEG IMX media and produces a .MOV file that can be used for editing in supported Macintosh editing systems. File transfer is performed over a 10/100/1000 Base T connection.

With the Flip4Mac MXF Import Component you can import and browse Sony systems for quick, easy access without going to baseband video.

This means a faster, more efficient, file-based workflow that provides greater efficiency and productivity for you.

Supported Digital Acquisition and Editing Systems:
  • Sony XDCAM Camcorder
  • Sony PDW-1500 Compact Deck
  • Sony eVTR IMX MPEG Video Tape Recorder
  • Apple Final Cut 5
  • 5.1 channel audio up to 96 kHz audio sampling rates

  • In this demo version the import feature is restricted to the first half of the MXF files.
