A Gnutella client according to the open standards of an international community.
FrostWire is a community driven project based on source code released by LimeWire LLC(http://www.limewire.com) to create and maintain a Gnutella(http://www.gnutellaforums.com) client according to the open standards of an international community.

We are busy building a website and creating a new design for the FrostWire Gnutella client. Since LimeWire(http://www.limewire.com/) is a registered trademark we cannot distribute the client under its old name.

FrostWire will not break with LimeWire's design philosophy. FrostWire is a tool that will never have a PRO version.

The FrostWire project will always remain strictly non-profit and free of any bundled software, including any ads or nags.

    What's New in This Release:

  • Fixes a newly introduced bug in Windows which would make FrostWire(tm) take over the .bittorrent file association without asking the user.
  • Reduces network load. The LimeWire team found out that "store forwarding" would not provide extra data availability, so it's been turned off from the DHT
  • FrostWire.ico has been updated. Now when FrostWire(tm) is associated to .bittorrent files, .bittorrent files will use the FrostWire(tm) icon.
