Creating an archive is as simple as dragging in the files and selecting the archive type. iArchiver can create Zip, Tar, Gzip, Bzip2, Z and CPIO archives.

With iArchiver you can inspect and view individual files without unpacking the whole archive.

iArchiver can open DMG, Zip, RAR, Gzip, Z, 7-zip, LhA, Bzip2, ARJ, StuffIt, hqx, rpm and many other common and not so common formats.

With iArchiver's convert feature you can streamline your archives to a common format.

In addition iArchiver now offers more comfort and time savings with its "quick extract" feature: extracting archives in place by dragging the to the iArchiver icon in the dock.
