iPhoto Extractor Extract iPhoto library photos to import later
iPhoto Extractor 2.0 Beta 12The iPhoto Extractor traverse the iPhoto library structure, copying the target files into a sorted destination. This way you can import all or some of your files back into iPhoto and not worry about thumbnails and other files you would have to manage manually. This application has been successfully tested with libraries created with iPhoto 2, iPhoto 4 and iPhoto 5. The download package has 2 files, an AppleScript droplet and a "Pro" version that is a Mac OS X application that runs in Mac OS X 10.3 or higher. Check out the READ ME for more information on which to use and why. Both files in the disk image perform the same basic function. The "Pro" version can only run in Mac OS 10.3.x or greater and the AppleScript can run in all Mac OS versions (except the ones noted in description). Refer to the next section to choose which one you should use. Basically, once you drop your iPhoto Library folder onto either of these scripts and extract, they will traverse the iPhoto library folder structure, copying (NEVER moving or altering the original files) the image files from the iPhoto library to a user defined destination. Once you select a destination for the images to be extracted to, 4 new folders will be created. If these folders already exist, you will be prompted to either reuse the existing folders, or choose a new destination. What's New in This Release: |
