LoudHush 1.3.18
IAX softphone for OS X LoudHush is a softphone application for Mac OS X. It functions as an IAX client for the Asterisk PBX. With LoudHush you can initiate and answer, hold and transfer voice calls using your computer. LoudHush is a program created in Cocoa/Objective-C and integrates nicely within the OS X environment. Main features of LoudHush:
Incoming and outgoing calls
Transfer (blind), Hold, Mute
Caller id lookup in AddressBook
Dialing from AddressBook (via AppleScript)
Multiple IAX accounts (new in 1.3)
Peer-to-Peer IAX dialing (calling other LoudHush/IAX peer without an Asterisk server) (new in version 1.2)
Call history window (new in version 1.2)
Bonjour (used to announce presence and find other LoudHush peers in the local domain)
Network statistics window (jitter, round trip, lost packets, delay, etc)
Applescript notifications on incoming call
Requirements of LoudHush:
An Apple computer equipped with a sound card and microphone
An Asterisk account
Network connectivity to the Asterisk server.
Limitations of LoudHush:
The unregistered version will always quit five minutes after being started.
