MSN Messenger for MAC - Instant face-to-face communication

Microsoft Messenger for Mac 7 provides real-time collaboration between people in different locations by using different communication options. These include instant messaging (IM), audio calls, and video calls. Messenger for Mac 7 provides two types of communication services, corporate and personal.

Messenger for Mac 7.0.2 is an integrated communications client that enables you to communicate with contacts within and outside your organization. Messenger for Mac 7.0.2 is a Universal application that is built to run on both PowerPC-based and Intel-based Macs and makes it easy to take advantage of the full power of real-time communications. Messenger for Mac 7.0.2 improves overall quality and conversations with Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 R2.

Important: Messenger for Mac 7.0.2 does not work with Live Communications Server 2005. If your organization uses Live Communications Server 2005, you should use Messenger for Mac Version 6.0.

How to Install

1. Print this page if you want to use it as a reference when you are offline.
2. Quit any applications that are running, including all Office applications, Microsoft Messenger, and Office Notifications, because they might interfere with installation.
3. Make sure that your computer meets the minimum system requirements.

4. Click Download, or click the link for the language version that you want.
5. Follow the instructions on the screen to save the file to your hard disk. If you are using Safari, the downloaded file is saved to the desktop unless you specified a different location in the Preferences dialog box of Safari. To check your preferences, on the Safari menu, click Preferences, and then click General.
6. If the file you downloaded does not expand automatically, on your hard disk, double-click the file that you downloaded in step 5.

7. Drag the Microsoft Messenger icon to the Applications folder on your hard disk.
8. After the application has been copied to your hard disk, you can drag the Microsoft Messenger volume to the Trash, and then drag the file that you downloaded to the Trash.
9. Double-click the Microsoft Messenger application that you copied to your hard disk to start the setup program, and then follow the instructions on the screen.
