Does anyone know if there is a way to disable the "History" function in safari? I gave my parents my old iMac to use so they can start browsing the web. However, every time they start to type in a web address and safari butts in with its autocomplete history, it confuses the heck out of them and they don't know what to do. So basically I want to completely disable Safari's history, or at the very least, its autocomplete feature. I've looked everywhere and can't find the option for this. Could anyone assist?

Open Safari. Go to the Safari menu and select Preferences.

In the pop up window that appears, select the Security icon (a little padlock.)

Under Accept Cookies, click on the round button beside the word "Never."

To turn cookies on, open the same screen and click on the round button beside "Only From Sites You Navigate To."
