MonitManager 0.1.2

Control and monitor remote Monit and Supervisor daemons
MonitManager is an application that provides a centralized interface to monitor and control UNIX-like operating systems.

MonitManager gets its information from so called "agents" running on the machines to be monitored and controlled.

At the moment MonitManager supports Monit agents only. Support for Supervisor is underway.

Functionality:
· Control and monitor remote Monit and Supervisor daemons
· Track events on all machines
· Events are being published via RSS/Atom
· Monitors can be controlled individually or in groups.

Main features of MonitManager:

  • Ultra simple installation using Python's easy_install. All you need is a system running Python 2.5 or higher.
  • MonitManager is a centralized place to start, stop and monitor processes, disk, log-files and more...
  • Runs on Mac OS X, Linux, Solaris, FreeBSD and Windows. As long as your system runs Python, MonitManager is compatible
  • MonitManager is independent from the agents, therefore no single-point-of-failure.

    Requirements of MonitManager:

  • Python 2.5 or later
  • Django
  • CherryPy

    What's New in This Release:

  • Rewrote the startup and configuration scripts and implemented a 2-step install-process (3 if you include downloading the package). Also it is now possible to install MonitManager and its dependencies in a fully isolated environment, so there is no need to concern about package conflicts or about a messy Python installation
