Make your QT movies and podcasts accessible! MovCaptioner allows you to add captions to your QT movies and make transcripts of your videos or podcasts as quickly as you can type! MovCaptioner keeps repeating a segment of the movie until you are done typing what you hear.

Just hit the Return key and it will save your caption and automatically advance to the next few seconds of the movie, allowing you to zip through your captioning tasks in no time flat. You don't need to be a QuickTime guru, either. The caption track is added automatically with the click of a button. And clicking the Transcript button will automatically compile all the captions into one concise text file. If you can type, you can definitely make your movies accessible!

Makes embedded QT text tracks, SMIL captioned movies, Flash CS3 captions, SubRip SRT, SubViewer SUB, Spruce STL, SAMI (Windows Media), and transcripts with either timestamps or in paragraph form. And now, if you already have transcripts of your movie, you can import them into MovCaptioner to set as captions.

MovCaptioner can also import text either line-by-line (like song lyrics), in paragraph form, or in STL format. Once imported, text can easily be synched with video by clicking a button as you listen to the audio.


Requirements of MovCaptioner:

QuickTime Pro 7.0 or later required for embedding caption tracks (not required for creating transcripts, SMIL, or Flash XML files, etc.)

Adobe Flash CS3 required for creating Flash movies that use XML captions.

Flip4Mac plugin (free) required for loading Windows Media movies to create SAMI captions.

Perian plugin (free) for QT required for loading FLV movies.


Limitations of MovCaptioner:

14 days trial period.

Can now import SCC caption files (still working on exporting SCC, sorry).

Can change timecode from 1 hour start to 00 hour start (necessary for exporting in many formats).

Can now import SubVersion SUB files.

Can now import SubRip SRT files.

Embedded QT captions are now supported in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, and Dutch system languages.

Bug fix - Movies loaded from hard drive's root folder will no longer crash the application.

Bug fix - Warns user to keep movies on the main hard drive instead of crashing the application.

Bug fix - Timecode no longer shows up in text window under the movie after it is edited.

Bug fix - If the height of the text box is changed, the position of the text box will now be correctly reflected in embedded captions.
