Photoshop Automator Action Pack 3.7

Photoshop Automator Action Pack - 71 actions for Photoshop CS/CS2
For the Mac-based photographer who prefers to automate the more complex aspects of their post-production workflow, Apple's Automator - included with OS X 10.4 - provides a simple-to-use, but powerful engine for building complex editing pipelines.

In Automator, users create Workflows by stringing together Actions - simple modules that perform a specific task in a particular application. The Photoshop Action Pack provides 71 Automator Actions for Adobe Photoshop CS and CS2.

While Photoshop includes its own Automation mechanism in the form of the Actions palette, Automator and the Photoshop Action Pack have some advantages over the internal Photoshop feature.

First of all, Automator workflows may span multiple applications, meaning your automation routines aren't limited to just processing in Photoshop. Second, the Photoshop Action Pack provides a collection of filter actions that let you sort your batches of images based on different criteria. This provides a simple logic mechanism that lets you build workflows that can process different types of images in different ways.

The Photoshop Action Pack is still free, but donations are heartily accepted and cheerfully spent on indulgent frivolities.

Requirements:

  • Adobe Photoshop CS
  • Adobe Photoshop CS2.

    Limitations:

  • You must register in order to download.

    What's New in This Release:

  • Hue/Saturation now allows a proper Hue range, -180 to 180 rather than the limited -100 to 100 that it had before.
  • Added "Set Blending Mode of Current Layer" action.
  • Fixed a bug in the Duplicate Current Layer action that could cause the wrong layer to be selected if you issued several duplicate actions in a row.
  • Copy Data to IPTC now lets you specify a separator to use when appending data.
  • Fixed bugs in Resize Image that were keeping it from proportionally resizing an image when the workflow only specified a single dimension.
  • Changed Restore Original Image so that it’s now possible to use multiple instances of the action within one workflow. Each one restores the original set of images that were originally passed to the workflow.
  • Added a "Copy IPTC to Spotlight Comments" action.
  • Unsharp Mask now works properly. Due to an embarassing bit of debugging code that was left in the final version of 3.6, Unsharp Mask was always using hard-coded parameter values, unless you told it to apply its effects to a new layer. It doesn’t do this anymore.
  • Some of the saving parameters in the Render dialog weren’t sticking when you saved a workflow. This has been fixed.
