Photoshop like image editor
Pixel image editor has been developed by Pavel Kanzelsberger since 1997 and is still in heavy development. In 2005, the first release candidates appeared and once all the bugs are fixed, a final release may be ready by September 2005.

Pixel has a multiplatform design and looks the same on every supported platform.
Also, all files produced with Pixel are cross-platform and can be copied from one platform to another.

  • realtime live effects for layers (adjustments, effects), sets of live effects can be saved as layer Styles

    Retouching:
  • includes variety of brushes, including full-color brushes and animated brushes

    Limitations of Pixel:

  • You may download the demonstration version and test it for 30 days.
  • There are only two limitations in this demo version. There is a visible watermark in all images edited with the demo and there is a small dialog that informs you about purchasing Pixel.
