Quarto A 3D board game with Internet play
Quarto 1.1
A 3D board game with Internet play
An OpenGL implementation of the Quarto board game. Quarto is a a strategic board game which is easy to learn and fast to play. A game of Quarto begins with one player selecting any one of the 16 pieces in the pieces view and giving it to their opponent to play. That player then places the piece in a vacant spot on the game board. They then declare victory, if they think that they have won, or they select a piece from the remaining set and give it to their opponent to play. A victory in Quarto is possible once there are 4 pieces in a row (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal) which share some trait in common. Once a player realizes that such an arrangement exists, they call out Quarto! to declare that they are victorious. This implementation supports playing against the computer, against another human at the same computer and against other players over the internet (Rendezvous is also supported so finding games on a local network is easy). Quarto utilizes fully hardware accelerated OpenGL graphics and is available in 4 languages. Requirements: What's New in This Release: |
