Free and simple open source ray tracer application capable of Monte Carlo path tracing
rayhunter is a command-line program that takes a 3d model (given as VRML or 3DS file) and renders an image that would be visible from given camera looking at given scene.

Two ray-tracing algorithms may be used: Monte Carlo path tracing and deterministic (classic Whitted-style ray-tracer).
