SQLGrinder 2.0.8

SQLGrinder - SQL database utility that gives you tools to make your database development easy.
Because SQLGrinder is built using Apple's Cocoa framework, it looks and feels like a Macintosh OS X application, not like an application made on another platform and ported to OS X as an afterthought.

SQLGrinder comes bundled with drivers for FrontBase? from FrontBase Inc. and OpenBase SQL from OpenBase International, Ltd., as well as drivers for MySQL and PostgreSQL. SQLGrinder also makes it easy to connect to other databases such as Oracle, Sybase and Microsoft SQL Server by simply dropping JDBC drivers into a folder.

Currently in beta testing, this new version has been completely rewritten from the ground up and features many new and improved features including faster overall performance, multiple editor and result set history buffers, code completion using database keywords and table, column and procedure names, client-side result set searching and sorting, sleep detection, table add, drop and truncate functionality, improved data import and export and much more.

Pricing for the new version has been set at $59. During the beta period however, SQLGrinder 2 can be purchased for the current price of $49.95 with purchasers receiving a free upgrade to the final version once available. Owners of the current version can purchase an upgrade for only $19 by sending their current registration information to upgrades@sqlgrinder.com.

Using SQLGrinder you can create, edit and execute SQL statements. You can browse your database schema.

Main features of SQLGrinder:

  • SQL Editor
Build SQL queries easily with a SQL Editor that features syntax coloring, a large editing area, a table for viewing query results and data snapshots to temporarily save result sets. Schema Browser
Browse database schemas quickly and easily with the Schema Browser. View table columns, indexes, keys, and data, import and export data, and see procedure parameters and scripts with a few clicks.

  • SQL Statement Library
Save and organize created queries and view the current SQL statement history for each database used with the SQL Query Library. Import and Export
Import and export table data, query data and even database schemas in many different ways, from both the SQL Editor and the Schema Browser.

  • AppleScript
Automate exports, execute arbitrary SQL statements and process data using AppleScript and AppleScript Studio. Built using Cocoa
SQLGrinder takes advantage of the technology that makes Mac OS X great.

  • JDK 1.4
  • JDBC driver.
