Super Oda Dice Roller 0.5 Beta 2

Super Oda Dice Roller - Scriptable dice roller for role playing games
What makes a dice rolling program good enough to call it "Super Oda?" Well, how about the ability to roll ANY number of dice using standard "3D6" terminology? What about the ability to add mathematical operators to those rolls, so you can multiply dice by other dice? What about being able to do all of this in a friendly and unobtrusive Mac interface?

Oh yeah...

Super Oda Dice Roller is a full-featured dice roller, written in Ruby, that allows complex dice syntax and mathematical operators. (e.g. 3d20 1d100/2d6) It is intended for use with tabletop role playing games such as Dungeons and Dragons.

The program can be run directly from the terminal or it can be activated via included Applescripts which integrate with Launchbar or Quicksilver and Growl to provide a seamless gaming experience.

Requirements:

  • Ruby (tested on version 1.8.2 which comes with MacOS X 10.4 and later)
  • Optional: LaunchBar 4.1b1 or greater, or Quicksilver and Growl.

    What's New in This Release:

  • Added Growl notification support (optional).
  • Bundled an Applescript, “Roll Super Oda Dice.scpt” which restores the Quicksilver/Launchbar functionality.
  • Added an awesome icon.
